We wrote last week to those of you directly affected. From Monday 15 April, we will be carrying out works on the external walkways outside Norfolk Apartments. This is expected to last six to eight weeks and will involve removing panels from the ceiling to expose the existing substrate and replacing timber supports with aluminium ones. This is part of the scope of works and has already been completed on Goodwood Apartments balconies and the majority of those in Lingfield.
While the panels from the ceiling / soffit of the walkways are removed, we will also carry out a number of other tasks ahead of the main works. These tasks include installing new sprinkler feed pipework and electric supply for the new fire alarms. It is crucial that we carry out these enabling works now to ensure the main remedial works inside your home can be done within the tight timescales we have allowed. This will help prevent delays when you are moving to and from your home in future.
To avoid disruption, we will limit the works on each level to one small team of subcontractors at a time. There will be a maximum of two workers and one labourer per team on either level two or three. We do not anticipate access being blocked and subcontractors have been advised to keep access for residents as a priority.
There will be some drilling noise but this will be kept to a minimum and we will ensure that all areas are left clear and tidy throughout the day.
If you have any questions about these works or would like to discuss further please do not hesitate to contact us.
