We need to remove the paving in four small areas at Walthamstow Stadium to check that it is draining correctly. The work is being carried out by a company called Tamdown which specialises in groundworks of this type, and overseen by our independent contractor Calford Seaden

Each area will take up to five days to complete, beginning with area two (in front of Goodwood Apartments) on Monday 8 July.

The work will involve removing the existing paving and the material beneath this and recording our findings. Any material removed will be replaced the same day and the roadway reopened by the end of the day.

By carrying out this work each area at a time, cars and other vehicles will still be able to pass by, although we may need to control traffic at times.

Only Areas One and Four should affect parking or traffic flow (Areas Two and Three are at the top of Walthamstow Stadium).

Why is this work happening?
The water isn’t draining through the paving as it should be. We need to find out why.

Where is the work taking place?
We have divided the work into four small areas:

- Area One: behind Norfolk Apartments
- Area Two: in front of Goodwood Apartments
- Area Three: opposite 32-36 Parade Gardens
- Area Four: opposite 2-5 Parade Gardens

When is the work happening?
The work will begin with Area Two on Monday 8 July and continue as follows:

Area One: 15 – 19 July 2024
Area Three: 22 – 26 July 2024
Area Four: 29 July – 2 August 2024

How will this affect me? Will the works be noisy?
The work should not be noisy and will be carried out using small hand tools. Some of you that have parking bays in the area of the works will be given temporary parking while we are carrying out works in that area. Our logistics team will contact you if you are directly affected to give you a new parking space.

How will traffic be affected?
Deliveries and general traffic will not be restricted during the works. Traffic marshals will be employed and traffic barriers and signage will direct cars to the left or right side depending on which work area it is.

With each area taking a maximum of five working days, we will be finished by Friday 2 August 2024.

We have enclosed below a plan and have indicated where the works will be happening.
